After a bit of a hiatus due to computer issues and moving to San Francisco, “The Other Side” w/ Indidjinous is now back on it’s regular schedule every other Thursday night from 7:30-9PM on Jungletrain.net.

Indidjinous 2012 Recap

Hey all, just wanted to do a quick review of news concerning Indidjinous activity in 2012. This year saw the release of two small EP’s and two larger quasi-LP’s as well as the launching of a bi-weekly radio show on Jungletrain.net. For those who are fans of late-nineties techstep, drumfunk and experimental 170-centric beats, please read on…

The beginning of the year saw the long-delayed release of Duborigine & Degenerated on Golden Age recordings, a sub-label of the lost-in-translation label Black Hoe Recordings out of Budapest. Since Soundcloud is going through format weirdness at the moment, and my own computer is unable to view the new setup, I’m just going to post links to the tracks instead of trying to embed them.

Degenerated here:

I spent the middle part of the year on two LP-ish projects called Relics Volumes I & II which came out on Eschaton’s prolific Omni Music out of England. The concept was to take the best of my older tunes and give them an updated mixdown and a few minor edits, hence the name “Relics”.

Relics Volume I features six solo tunes made between 2006 and 2009 and you can listen here:

Relics Volume II features six other older tunes, but four of them are collaborations with the likes of Ibunshi, CJ Weaver and Noistek. Listen here:

Relics Volume III is due out early next year and will feature six more older solo tunes.

The end of the year saw me connecting with the Australian dn’b madman known as Centaspike. We did a remix exchange which released recently on Scale’s Dysfunk Music out of Berlin.

Centaspike made a devastating remix of my tune Dead Ringer, listen here:

And I took a halftime take on his tune Prey on the Weak, here:

And finally, I’m happy to say I started a bi-weekly radio show on Jungletrain.net called “The Other Side” airing every other Thursday night from 7:30-9:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (so that might actually be early Friday morning if you’re in Europe). For now I’m archiving all the shows on my Mixcloud account which you can access here:

http://www.mixcloud.com/Indidjinous/

I’m thinking I’ll eventually host the shows in a downloadable format on my own website https://indidjinous.com/, but I haven’t gotten around to that yet. The next show is coming up this Thursday December 20th. I suppose I should play a darker and more dramatic set that night, on account of the world ending the next day. J

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year everyone! Thanks for listening.
